MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer) will provide support by monitoring and evaluating ongoing projects on advocacy, capacity building and RLO coordination in Uganda. Front Desk Officer

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated and professional candidates for the position of Front Desk
Officer which will act as the face of the Refugee-Led Organization Network (RELON),
providing essential administrative support while ensuring a welcoming and professional
environment for all visitors, stakeholders, and staff members. This role requires a tech-savvy
individual who can manage information effectively and support our mission of strengthening
refugee-led organizations across Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reception Duties:
• Greet and assist visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
• Manage incoming phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
• Provide information about RELON’s projects, initiatives, and services to visitors and
stakeholders.
2. Information Technology and Website Management:
• Collaborate with the communications team to maintain RELON’s website, ensuring it
is up-to-date and functioning effectively.
• Assist in the development and implementation of digital content strategies, including
social media updates and newsletters.
• Provide tech support to staff regarding office software and digital tools.
3. Office Administration:
• Manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring that all materials are organized and
readily available.
• Maintain accurate records of staff schedules and appointments to optimize
organizational efficiency.
• Assist with scheduled meetings, including setting up meeting rooms and preparing
necessary materials.
4. Data Management:
• Support the management of stakeholder databases, ensuring accurate and confidential
data handling.
• Help in compiling reports and documentation for various projects and activities under
the BEACON initiative.
5. Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with various departments to ensure seamless communication and
coordination across the organization.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve office operations and
communal workplace culture.
Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is
preferred.
2. Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role, ideally within a
nonprofit or community-focused organization.
• Proven ability in website development, with experience in content management
systems such as WordPress or similar platforms.
3. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic
graphic design software is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
4. Soft Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, professional
demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask
effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
5. Language Proficiency:
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in local languages preferred to facilitate better
communication with the community.
6. Additional Information:
• This position may require occasional flexibility with hours to accommodate meetings
or events.
